
Patty is a successful athlete, mother and entrepreneur.
Born in Grand Forks, North Dakota Patty was the top rated and most
recruited high school female shot and discus thrower in the nation. She
accepted a full athletic scholarship to Stanford University in 1985 where she was a 9-time
All-American and the Track and Field Team Captain for two consecutive years.
Her accomplishments include:
- 2008 Gold Medalist at the U.S. Masters Track and Field Nationals for both Shot Put and Discus (W40 - 44)
- Ranked 7th in the USA in Shot Put in 1988
- Competed in the discus at the 1988 Olympic Trials
- National Collegiate Olympic Weightlifting Champion in 1989
- Inducted into the North Dakota Sports Hall of Fame and the North Dakota High School Track and Field Hall of Fame
Patty graduated with a BA in Psychology from Stanford University in 1989.
In 1992, she founded TimeOut Services to offer personal fitness services and has since expanded to
Corporate Wellness Program design and management. Her company has grown to 100 employees and several
million in annual sales. TimeOut currently provides a full range of services to develop and manage
corporate fitness centers and wellness programming, including facility design, equipment specification
and procurement and staffing. Clients include some of the largest companies in the Bay Area, as well as
smaller companies. Additionally, the Company manages community-based group exercise programs under the
Community BootCamp® name.
